Job Summary:

As a Product Developer at our innovative agency in the textile industry, you will be the driving force behind bringing innovative textile products to life. Your creativity and technical expertise will play a pivotal role in the entire product development process, from concept ideation to final production. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will be involved in the process of the design, prototyping, and testing of new textile products while ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and market appeal.

Key Responsibilities:

·     Manage end-to-end lifecycle: Supervise the day-to-day operations in the factories, controlling product development from day 1 up until delivery of bulk.

·     Material Selection: Identify and source appropriate textile materials that align with product specifications, performance criteria, and cost considerations.

·     Prototyping and Testing: Develop prototypes of textile products for evaluation and testing, iterating designs to achieve optimal performance and aesthetics.

·     Collaboration with Design and Production Teams:Work closely with the design team to translate creative concepts into feasible textile product designs that can be manufactured efficiently.

·     Manufacturability Analysis: Conduct manufacturability assessments to ensure that the chosen textile designs can be produced efficiently at scale.

·     Cost Analysis: Collaborate with the production team to evaluate the cost of materials and manufacturing processes, seeking cost-effective solutions without compromising product quality.

·     Quality Control: Working closely together with our QC Team, implement rigorous quality control procedures throughout the development process to maintain the highest standards of product excellence.

·     Market Research: Stay informed about the latest trends, innovations, and advancements in the textile industry to inform product development strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

·     Client Collaboration: Support the coordinators in their role of working closely with clients to understand their needs, gather feedback, and align product development with their expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Must-have:

·     Experience: At least 3-5 years of hands-on experience in textile product development, with a track record of successful product launches.

·     Textile Knowledge: In-depth understanding of textile materials, their properties, and applications in various industries.

·     Prototyping Skills: Experience in creating and refining textile product prototypes for testing and evaluation.

·     Collaborative Approach: Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

·     Innovation Mindset: A passion for innovation and a keen eye for identifying opportunities to create unique and market-leading textile products.

·     Project Management Skills: Experience in project management, coordinating timelines, and ensuring timely delivery of projects.

·     Flexibility& learning agility: The ability to adjust to new circumstances, work schedules, or roles within the organization, demonstrating a willingness to learn and acquire new skills or knowledge, staying open to continuous learning and staying up-to-date with industry trends.

·     Problem-solving skills: Being able to identify problems, analyze situations, and propose effective solutions, navigating through unexpected obstacles and finding creative ways to overcome challenges.

·     Resilience: The capacity to bounce back from setbacks and maintain a positive attitude during difficult times.

Nice to have:

·     Education: A Bachelor's degree in TextileEngineering, Textile Design, Materials Science, Fashion, or a related field.

·     Design Software: Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or other CAD software used in textile product development.

·     Sustainability Focus: Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly practices within the textile industry.

·     Quality Assurance: Demonstrated ability to maintain strict quality control standards throughout the product development process.
